When you’re out on the water fishing all day, we know how you can work up an appetite. The chef in Kai Restaurant, (the Mayan word for fish) prepares meals that are hearty and satisfying with fresh local ingredients.
Enjoy a big cooked breakfast to start your day. Fishermen will have a packed picnic lunch, and the restaurant will serve those at the lodge during lunchtime.
Dine inside our dining room at your leisure, or outdoors on the covered deck overlooking the sea. There is no set time for meals and no buffets at Kai Restaurant – eat at the time that suits you, and enjoy cooked-to-order meals served to you by our waiters. Breakfast is from 6:30 to 10:00 a.m. and dinner is served from 5:30 to 9 p.m.
Our chef is happy to accommodate special diets and food requests – please indicate this on your pre-arrival questionnaire so we can be prepared.
Cool off and celebrate the day’s success with a frosty drink. Grand Slam has a fully stocked bar with bartender service from 3 p.m. to 10 pm. It’s the gathering place at night for swapping stories of the day’s fishing. From cold beer to tequilas, premium liquors and single malt Scotch whisky, we’ve got your drink.
Coffee, and water are included at all meals. All beverages in can and Alcoholic refreshments are extra and are charged to your room and paid at the end of your stay. Your villa mini bar is fully stocked with beer, soda and bottled water to quench your thirst at any time, at an extra fee.
You’re welcome to take cold beer with you out on the water fishing, but keep in mind that the guides are prohibited from drinking alcohol while guiding.
